Claire Allen

I have two part-time jobs. Four days of each week, I am an operations manager for Evidence Aid, a charity which helps the humanitarian sector to programme the best interventions for preparing for and responding to emergencies and humanitarian crises. My responsibilities include everything related to our programmes – e.g. our online resources, events and partnering on projects. You can read more about Evidence Aid at www.evidenceaid.org and if you are passionate about funds being spent on interventions which have robust evidence behind them, you can also donate here: www.evidenceaid.org/donate/.

In my evenings and at weekends I am also a self-employed Tropic Ambassador. Tropic is a company making skincare and cosmetics to order without any harmful chemicals with its core skincare range being 100% naturally derived. Products are made in the UK, and every one of the products is Cruelty Free International certified. Products are also Vegan Approved, gluten free, mostly organic, and Tropic don’t use unsustainable palm oil. It’s something I’m passionate about and believe we can all make choices that help our wellbeing and the environment. You can read about the products and order, should you wish at www.tropicskincare.com/claireallen.

When I am not doing either of these things I enjoy going to exercise classes, walking, and the cinema, along with eating out and good wine (hence the exercise and walking!).
