Young Enterprise

The UK faces a serious skills gap. A high percentage of young people are not in education or employment, and many leave school without the skills they need to succeed in the real world. We work with schools, universities, businesses and influencers to help change this.

We believe that the potential of the UK’s young people is unlimited, and an academic education on its own is not enough. As the UK’s leading financial education and enterprise charity we motivate young people to succeed in the changing world of work by equipping them with the work skills, knowledge and confidence they need. We work directly with young people, teachers, parents, businesses and influencers to help build a successful and sustainable future for all young people and society at large.

Through our hands-on employability, enterprise and financial education programmes, resources and teacher training, we aim to reduce youth unemployment, help young people realise their potential beyond education and empower a generation to learn, to work and to live.

Since 1962, we have worked with both the business and education sectors to engage over four million young people. We believe passionately in the power of ‘learning by doing’ and the difference that is has made and continues to makes to the lives, futures and ambitions of young people.
